Pastor Stacy Brown grew up in Laurel, Mississippi, where he attended the Morning Star Baptist Church as a young boy under the leadership of Reverend Arthur Ray Bridges. He was baptized and received the Holy Spirit on December 12, 1988, in Forkland, Alabama, where he then began his membership and ministry at The Way of The Cross Church and the Original Glorious Church of God and Christ under the leadership of Elder John Lee Byrd.

Pastor Brown started his journey in ministry by preaching the word of God on the street corners in Laurel, Mississippi. He later moved to Jackson, Mississippi, to join the Disciples of Christ Church under the leadership of Reverend J.B. Wilcots. In 2011, Pastor Brown started his mission ministry with Harvest International Church under the leadership of Reverend Phyllis Johnson. He traveled to numerous countries in Africa, conducting spiritual crusades and medical camps to help those in need.

Pastor Brown founded the Fishers of Men Organization in 2010, where he continued to conduct ministry and outreach services in Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa. During his military service, Pastor Brown relocated to Killeen, Texas, where he became a member of the Christian House of Prayer. He worked behind the scenes at the church to ensure that the community's needs were met.

After receiving his master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2018, he moved to Dallas, Texas, and worked at the Dallas Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Pastor Brown and his lovely wife, LaToya Brown, have worked tirelessly to continue the work of the ministry in the United States, Nairobi, Kenya, and Johannesburg, South Africa. In June 2022, Pastor Brown heard the call to start a church. He then changed the name to The Fishers of Souls Organization, for which the Fishers of Souls Ministries was founded in March 2023.
